Once upon a time in Tollywood — XVI -Premabhishekam vs Kondaveeti Simham in Guntur: It’s 1st week collections in the main theatre are INR 60,000 as it collected INR 1,25,325 in 10 days from two theatres –Sri Vijayalakshmi.

Grossed INR 1.55 crore at 60 centres over 50 days only.

The shooting started at ANR's birthday on September 20th 1980, released on his wedding anniversary on February 18th 1981 & completed 100 days on NTR's birthday on May 28th 1981.

Premabhishekam had 100 days theatrical runs at 30 centers,

It was the first Telugu film to run 100 days with 4 shows in 3 states (Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh & Karnataka): Ran for 107 days at Subham 70MM theatre in Madras, Ran for 104 days at Nagurvali theatre in Narsarao Peta, Ran for 100+ days at Savita theatre in Bangalore. Grossed INR 1.4 lakh over 100 days at IS Mahal theatre in Tirupati + grossed 40k in side theatre over 7 days. Tota Town Gross - INR 1.81 lakh.

Two industry hits at Anakapally: Premabhishekam, the first Industry hit of 1981, would have collected another INR 1.5 lakhs maximum in the remaining 65 days at Ramakrishna Talkies theatre, Anakapally. Even then, Kondaveeti Simham would have crossed these revenues by an incredible amount (INR 85,000).

Ran for 130 days (73 Reg shows, 57 mrng shows) at Anjali theatre in Secunderabad was replaced by Prema Kanuka.

Grossed 3.1 lakh INR over 135 days at Prathap theatre.

NTR was the chief guest for the 300 days function of Premabhishekam held in Nellore. Interestingly, ANR was the chief guest of the 100 days function of NTR’s Kondaveeti Simham, which was also held in Nellore few months later.

Premabhishekam has the unbeatable record of being the one & only movie that ran for 302 days (3 shows) at Annapurna theatre in Vijayawada (City's highest run of single theatre all time) and grossed INR 19 lakhs (State Record)
