Shahrukh Khan about Sridevi

Shah Rukh Khan has starred in a short film that aims to change attitudes towards women in society. The actor collaborated with filmmaker R Balki on the short film, which is part of TATA Tea's Women First campaign.

Speaking to PTI, Khan said: "When Balki asked me about it, I immediately agreed because I liked the concept. I picked up the idea and was shooting for it straight away.”

The Jab Tak Hain Jaan star also opened up about the status of women in Bollywood, saying: 

"Women are the backbone of my profession. But they are not given due recognition. I've worked with Hemaji, Madhuri, Sridevi, Juhi, Deepika, Anushka and a number of others. They all work hard and are better. So I'm inspired by everyone, be it female directors, producers, choreographers and other women in my profession."
