Theatrical runs in first week;

Kondaveeti Simham vs Vetagadu in Kakinada: The advert issued on November 1st, 1981 mentions Kondaveeti Simham collecting 2,38,590 INR at Padma Priya A/C Kakinada during its first 23 or 24 days. Vetagadu, interestingly, collected INR 2,33,034 for 28 days in the same theatre almost three years before. The former’s collections was a town record while the latter movie revenues was a record for the two distribution territories – East and West. 

Premabhishekam's 100 days gross INR 1.3 crore was equalled by Kondaveeti Simham in 50 days with INR 1.22 crore.  Khaidi grossed INR 1.17 crore within 50 days in 1983 whereas Mangamma Gari Manavadu grossed 1+ crore only after ticket hikes.

First 50 days film in Gollamamidaada, East Godavari:

Kondaveeti Simha’s dream run in B&C centres: First 50 days at Bucchireddypalem–Nellore district. For the records, Pokiri is the first and only direct 100 days film till date in this rural area. Kondaveeti Simham is only the first film to run for 50 days in Naidupeta and Gudur towns. The movie collected 5.3 lakhs in 60 days and remained unbreakable for next 8 years.

ANR was the chief guest of the 100 days function of NTR’s Kondaveeti Simham, which was also held in Nellore. It was the 12th movie in a row to have run for 100 days in Sunder theatre, Khammam.

Two industry hits at Anakapally: Premabhishekam, the first Industry hit of 1981, would have collected another INR 1.5 lakhs maximum in the remaining 65 days at Ramakrishna Talkies theatre, Anakapally. In Rayalaseema cinema history, Kondaveeti Simham was the one & only movie that released in 9 centers and ran for 100 days until Gang Leader broke the record after 10 years. In Guntur, it was the only movie that released in 6 centers and ran for 100 days until Peddannayya broke the record after 16 years. And in West Godavari & Nizam districts it was the only movie that released in 5 centers and ran for 100 days until Chanti broke the record after 11 years.
