What a night! [Filmfare, 1991 January]

FILMFARE, 1991 January described the Awards Special Edition:

"Through sheer coincidence, we'd included her clip from Chaalbaaz where she did a splendid take-off on Raaj Kumar. It recieved bursts of laughter and several rounds of applause."

While the gathering at Centaur had cheered, one man was hardly pleased. Rauf reveals:

"Yash Chopra was not at all happy that Sridevi had won for Chaalbaaz. He kept telling that it was a kinky film and that she should have won for a classic like Chandni. But I told him that it was the jury's decision."
