Vyjayanthi Movies' Guru Sishyulu was released in two theatres: Sesh Mahal & Sunder Deluxe and it had an excellent hold in second week too. The movie created a town record by collecting INR 1,33,000 in its first week and ran for 13 days in the second theatre. The 63 shows it got in the second theatre for 13 days would have remained a record for several years for side theatres.
